"Be better than great...be Razzmatastic!"
This year, we have spent a great deal of time doing team building activities. As a loop, we feel that there needs to be a strong bond between all students in the cluster. Please talk with your child about their team building experience. We have seen incredible changes in the students this year and are so proud of all that they have accomplished.
Each student is in a group with one of the four cluster teachers. We meet approximately once a week and address any issues that may have come up.
Here's what we've done so far:
'If you really knew me..." statements
Communication skills activities
Team bonds (balloon activity)
Buddy day - students spent the day with someone they wouldn't normally spend time with and journaled about the experience.
Weekly challenges (say 'hello' and 'thank you' and ask your peers for help)
Discussions topics: bullying, cyberbullying, making good choices, helping others in serious situations, empowering statements.
Ant-Bullying Campaign - students are working very hard on a multimedia presentation about bullying...stay tuned for more information!
"None of us, including me, ever do great things. But we can all do small things, with great love, and together we can do something wonderful."
