Program Description

 

Students qualifying for literacy services are placed in programs based on their area of need.  In addition to an intervention program, students also receive imbedded instruction on required skills in each ELA classroom.

 

Comprehension Students

 Soar to Success has been developed to help students learn to apply and use comprehension, decoding strategies, and skills of an effective reader as they read across the curriculum.

 

Vocabulary Students

Rewards is a specialized reading program designed to teach secondary students a flexible strategy for decoding long words and to increase their oral and silent reading fluency.

 

Decoding Students

SRA DECODING-www.capousd.org/interventions/crdecoding.htm

SRA Corrective Reading Decoding program is designed to increase students’ decoding skills so they are able to read with greater fluency and comprehension. This program also includes extensive practice in comprehension that helps students read carefully and attend to details.
