Note from Dr. Anderson
Mrs. Bulk and I would like to welcome you to the 2018 - 2019 academic school year! This year is going to be extra exciting as this will be our last year in our well loved building! In just a short few days children will be flocking to our school from all corners of Barrington by bus, car, bike, or waking. At Barrington Middle School, our number one commitment is to provide an environment where your child feels safe, cared for, and supported and where they can thrive and become the best version of themself. Throughout the year there sure will be highs, lows, ups and downs. That is middle school. Everyday is an adventure! Mrs. Bulk, our BMS Faculty/Staff, and myself look forward to partnering with you to make this year the best year yet!

BMS Spotlight on Learning
This week we would like to shine our BMS Spotlight on our custodians Mr. Fred Costa, Mr. Joe Pimental, Mr. John Wilcox, Mr. John Barbosa, and Mr. Robert Windley for making our school shine for the start of the new school year! We would also like to shine our BMS Spotlight on our secretaries Mrs. Skadberg and Mrs. Martin for answering phone calls, ordering, and getting our school ready for a new and exciting school year. We would also like to shine our spotlight on our technology department Ms. Becky Trahan for getting our chromebooks up and running. We would also like to shine our BMS Spotlight on Mrs. Marianne Combies, Ms. Krystal Slobada, Ms. Sandy McCauley, and Mrs. Jaime Poirier for assisting with the scheduling process.  Without each of your dedication and expertise, we would not be where we are today. Thank you for all that you do.

Student Portfolios:
At Barrington Middle School, every student in every grade and in every class has a student portfolio. Students will be keeping their classwork, assessments, projects, writing prompts, etc in their portfolios. In addition, students will be regularly reflecting on their progress as well as tracking their own performance data. We encourage families to request the portfolios to be sent home so you too can see your child’s progress. The one thing we ask is that the portfolio be returned the very next day as the students will be using it on a regular basis.
