Some Advisory Committees, such as the Health and Wellness, Special Education (SEAC), and Policy Committees, are established following state regulations and guidelines. Advisory Committee members will represent a variety of community perspectives and are encouraged to solicit input from other community members and organizations. Friends of BMS Baseball: To Supporters of Barrington Programs, This spring, history was made at Barrington Middle School. For the first time ever, our students took the field in a BMS baseball uniform—and in our inaugural season, the team advanced all the way to the state playoffs. We owe special thanks to the Barrington Middle School Softball team for their trailblazing performance last year. Their success showed what’s possible when our community comes together, and they set the path forward for baseball to follow. Now, we need your help to keep this success story alive. Our Goal We are raising $30,000 to fully fund BMS Baseball for the next three years. This will cover coaching stipends, uniforms, safety equipment, league dues, insurance, and field maintenance. We are also proud to share that a portion of this funding has already been secured, proving the community is behind us. With your support, we can reach the finish line and guarantee that baseball at BMS is here to stay. Why It Matters Barrington has seen a drop in baseball participation among kids ages 12 and up, as many join travel or AAU programs outside town. Our middle school team gives students the chance to represent their classmates and their community—strengthening pride, belonging, and school spirit. Beyond the diamond, youth sports build resilience, discipline, teamwork, and leadership. One BMS player said after our playoff run: “I never thought I’d get to wear a Barrington jersey for baseball. It means everything to me.” This is the impact your donation makes possible. How You Can Help Every gift makes a difference. Whether it’s $25, $50, $100, or more, your support directly funds coaching, uniforms, safety equipment, and field upkeep. Together, every contribution adds up to ensure baseball at BMS is here to stay. How to Donate 1. By Mail – Send a check payable to Friends of BMS Baseball to: Friends of BMS Baseball c/o Imran Salahuddin 526 Middle Highway Barrington, RI 02806 Please include your name, address, phone number, email, and contribution amount. 2. Online – Donate through our official GoFundMe page: https://gofund.me/0cce32b8 Friends of BMS Baseball is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. All donations are tax deductible. Thank you for helping us build on this incredible first season. Together—with inspiration from our softball trailblazers—we can ensure that Barrington Middle School Baseball continues to thrive for years to come. With gratitude, Imran Salahuddin, President Marc Coppolino, Treasurer Michael Floriani, Secretary Friends of BMS Baseball

~ Spotlight on Learning ~
This week, we would like to shine our BMS Spotlight on Dr. Brian Fernandes. Brian, you’re such a great colleague, teacher, and friend. You work so hard and are always willing to share your expertise and support other teachers. I really trust your judgment and appreciate that you’re always there to help with my reading questions. Thanks for everything you do-- BMS is lucky to have you! (Nominated by Jodi Cabral). This week, we would like to shine our BMS Spotlight on Mrs. Amy Boyle. She's an amazing teacher. She always makes her classes fun, and I was always excited to go to her class. I hated math, but she showed me a different side of it. She also helped me understand a lot of what we were doing since I came from a different school, but she made it a million times easier. She's by far one of my favorite teachers.(Nominated by Elianna Valenzuela) Do you know of a BMS Faculty/Staff/Student member who is shining bright? If you do, please complete the form below and we can include the nomination in an upcoming newsletter.
