Trimester 1/Trimester 2: We can’t believe we are just about a week away from ending Trimester 1 and beginning Trimester 2. Our schedules are set and students are ready to begin Trimester 2 on Tuesday, December 2, 2025. At the end of each trimester, it is always a good idea to engage in reflective practice. What worked well? What did not go so well? What can I do differently during trimester 2? I encourage all of our students to take a few moments to engage in this important reflective practice. |

We are looking for donations of new toys such as stuffed animals, games, or sports equipment that are new and unwrapped. There will be a bin for donations in the second floor breakout space. Donations are due on December 15. Thank you! -The Community Service Club |

~ Spotlight on Learning ~ |
This week, we would like to shine our BMS Spotlight on our entire learning community! As we gather this week to give thanks, we want to recognize our entire BMS Learning Community for the culture of gratitude and appreciation you've created together. The dozens of heartfelt nominations we've received this year reflect something truly special! It reflects a community where students notice acts of kindness, teachers support one another's growth, and everyone takes time to celebrate each other's contributions. From parent volunteers who give their Saturday mornings to custodians who transform our building, from students who model inclusion to educators who inspire a love of learning, each of you makes BMS the exceptional place it is. This Thanksgiving, we are grateful to work alongside all of you in a community that genuinely cares and helps us all rise together. Do you know of a BMS Faculty/Staff/Student member who is shining bright? If you do, please complete the form below and we can include the nomination in an upcoming newsletter. |

News from the Barrington Farm School: How to compost? Is your Thanksgiving meal creating lots of food waste? You’re not alone. ReFED estimates that 320 million pounds of food will be wasted this Thanksgiving – enough for 267 million meals! The carbon dioxide emissions associated with that waste are equivalent to driving 190,000 gasoline-powered vehicles for a year! Plan your food use wisely to reduce waste and compost what you can. Fruit and veggie peels, ends, stems, slimy bits, and more can all be dropped off for free at any Barrington Farm School community drop-off site (at the BFS Farm Stand, behind the Barrington Library, or by the Kent St. tennis courts) to be turned into rich, nutrient-dense compost for our farm! Drop-off sites are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, all year long! Have a happy, earth-friendly Thanksgiving! - Contributed by Barrington Farm School |
