Welcome to the new school year from the BMS PTO! We are excited for the new year and a return to many of the events and activities that have been missed over the past couple of years. Here are a few PTO updates to start off the year:
Let’s Celebrate our Amazing Learning Community
(note: below you will find our standing/weekly BMS Spotlight on Learning)
BMS Spotlight on Learning:
This week, we would like to shine our BMS Spotlight on our amazing 6th-Grade, 7th-Grade, and 8th- Grade students for their willingness to share their appreciation for our local first responders. During lunch on Friday, students had an opportunity to sign their names on a poster and/or write a small note of gratitude to our first responders. Later on in the day, the posters were shared with our School Resource Officer and FireFighters/EMTs in front of the students in Mrs. Bento’s room.
Do you know of a BMS Faculty/Staff/Student member that is shining bright? If you do, please complete the form below and we can include the nomination in an upcoming newsletter.
Barrington Lions Club Peace Poster Contest:
For over three decades, Lions clubs around the globe have been sponsoring a very special art contest in schools and youth groups. Creating peace posters gives children everywhere the chance to express their visions of peace and inspire the world through art and creativity, bringing peace to the world one child at a time. Please click here for the first and second informational posters.
