Message from Dr. A:
On Tuesday, November 15, 2022, we will be having our PTO meeting from 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm. We encourage our families to attend and support our PTO. Below you will find some additional information on how you can become involved with our PTO.

BMS Weekly Schedule
Week of October 30, 2022:
What is New at BMS!
(note: the following information is new)
We wanted to take this time to inform you that our RICAS/NGSA results are in! For what was probably one of the most difficult teaching years we experienced (balancing distance learning, contact tracing, and finding a “new normal”), BMS was able to achieve some amazing results! We were able to achieve these results by not necessarily focusing on the test, but rather focusing our attention on connecting with our students, and teaching and learning at a very high level!
School Wide Data:
Over the next coming weeks/months, our teams will take a deep dive into the data and undoubtedly find opportunities for growth, but in the meantime, we should all be very proud of what we were able to accomplish. Great work BMS!
BMS Media Center:
BMS “Shark Tank”:
Volunteers are needed on November 30th from 10:10 am - 12:10pm to judge the "Shark Tank" style presentations from the BMS Entrepreneurship Class.
The 8th grade Shark Tank preparations are well underway and students have been working hard to develop their business ideas. This year’s Shark Tank presentations will take place on November 30th in the BMS Student Union and we are in need of volunteer “Sharks”. As a Shark you will watch student presentations and use a rubric to provide feedback. No prior experience is required. Click here for more information!
Join Dr. Anderson on Friday, November 18, 2022 at 12:00 pm for a principal luncheon. The goal of the luncheon is to connect with families, discuss BMS related topics, and to answer any questions families may have. No pre-registration necessary.
Oldies but Goodies
(note: information previously seen, but still relevant)
Time to order your BMS Yearbook!
BMS Yearbook - 8th Grade Baby Pictures:
It’s tradition! See how much the 8th graders have grown! Each year we have pages in the yearbook dedicated to 8th grade baby/toddler pictures and it’s always fun to see how far they’ve come. Please complete this form and upload your child's baby/toddler photo directly. To avoid confusion, please ensure only one photo is uploaded per student. Deadline is Thursday, December 1, 2022.
PLEASE NOTE: You need to be signed into your or your child's gmail account. If not, you will not be able to upload the photo.
CoffeePond Picture Day Follow-up:
Picture packages are in and have been distributed by teachers. Picture retake day will be on Tuesday, November 29, 2022 if you'd like to have your student's picture redone (or if they were absent on September 28). Please send in your picture package with your student on that day if your student will be retaking their picture. If you have any questions about ordering, reordering or just in general, please contact CoffeePond directly at 800-632-2323, extension 0 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
If you choose to drop-off and pick-up your student from BMS, please see this map for directions. Please note that the last early dismissal of the day is at 2:45 pm.
Early Pick-Up Reminders:
Notes or emails to email@example.com are needed every time you need to dismiss your student prior to the end of school. Middle School level students are not allowed to bike home, even with permission by note. ID and a physical presence is required to dismiss your student early. Please click here for full details about dismissing your student early from school.
Welcome to the new school year from the BMS PTO! We are excited for the new year and a return to many of the events and activities that have been missed over the past couple of years. Here are a few PTO updates to start off the year:

This week we would like to shine our BMS Spotlight on Ms. Jen Gladney. Ms. Gladney is the nicest ALP teacher I have ever met. This week we would like to shine our BMS Spotlight on Ms. Allison Pomeranz. She is so helpful and kind, she is also willing to help everyone she meets. (Nominated by Student Elizabeth Hanely)
This week we would like to shine our BMS Spotlight on Rain Kelley. Congratulations to Rain Kelley for winning Mrs. Bannon's Two Sentence Super Short Scary Story Contest! The winning entry was: "There's nothing I love more than going out camping with my friends! After all, deep in the woods, no one can hear their screams." Rain's story received votes from all around the world! Great work, Rain! (Nominated by Mrs. Bannon)
Do you know of a BMS Faculty/Staff/Student member that is shining bright? If you do, please complete the form below and we can include the nomination in an upcoming newsletter.
