What is New at BMS! (note: the following information is new) | ||||||||||
8th Grade Family Meeting for 8th Grade Field Trip: On Tuesday, December 13, 2022 (moved from Wednesday, December 14, 2022) from 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm, we will be hosting a meeting for all 8th-grade families (parents/guardians) to discuss our annual end of the year 8th Grade Field Trip. At this meeting, our hope is to share with our families a few options and the cost implications of each one of those options. If your child would like to attend the end-of-year field trip, it is important for a family member to attend this very important meeting as we will be seeking feedback from families on a direction to pursue. BMS Swim Team: We are excited to announce that BMS will have a swim team. If you are interested in joining the team we ask that you email Susan Pascale-Frechette at susan@podsswimming.com. First session will begin on Sunday December 18, 2022 at 1:00 pm at PODS Swimming. | ||||||||||

Drop-off/Pick-up Instructions: If you choose to drop-off and pick-up your student from BMS, please see this map for directions. Please note that the last early dismissal of the day is at 2:45 pm. | ||||||||||
Early Pick-Up Reminders: Notes or emails to bmsattendance@barringtonschools.org are needed every time you need to dismiss your student prior to the end of school. Middle School level students are not allowed to bike home, even with permission by note. ID and a physical presence is required to dismiss your student early. BMS Spotlight on Learning: This week we would like to shine our BMS Spotlight on Ms. Cotnoir, Mr. Hanson, Mr. Spencer, and our BMS Robotics Team. We are so proud of our robotics team. After a few years of hiatus in competition, BMS Robotics team qualified for the State competition which will take place in January! This week we would like to shine our BMS Spotlight on our amazing BMS Faculty/Staff. It’s no secret that they make the school run. This past week when the need arose, Kelly and Amy rolled up their sleeves, put on their gloves and masks, and provided care for sick children in the Nurse’s Office. Meanwhile, Lynn and Janna held down the fort in the main office and school counseling, keeping the school running seamlessly. Americanism Essay Contest: The Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks is sponsoring an Americanism essay contest. The theme of the contest is: “What is your American Dream?” Plaques and monetary awards will be given to selected winners. Please click here for the informational flier.
